PED 102 TH: Olympic Movement and Organization of Tournament
· The student will be able to know ancient and modern Olympic movement.
· He/ She would be able to know Olympic ideals, code, ethics and protocols etc.
· He/ She would be able to understand the classification and identification of the society.
· He/ She would be able to gain knowledge of organization of tournaments.
BA-II Year
PED 201 TH: Human Anatomy and Physiology
· The student will be oriented with the basic structure and function of human body by identifying,comparing and relating different systems, organs and their functional and structural units.
· He/ She would be able to relate and interpret the role of exercise on body systems.
· He/ She would be able to acquire a strong foundation in Anatomy which will facilitate the study of biomechanics.
PED 202 TH: Sports Psychology
· The study would orient the student with concept of psychology applied in sports performance.
· The student would be able to understand that how psychological factors influence performance in sports and physical activity.
· He/ She would understand various laws of learning and their relevance in teaching learning process.
PED 203 TH: Sports Medicine, physiotherapy and Rehabilitation
· The student would be able to provide advanced knowledge of the medical field related to physical activity and sports.
· He/ She would be able to provide knowledge how to prevent and rehabilitate sports injuries.
· He/ She would be able to mention the importance of diet when going in for sports.
· He/ She be able to know the importance of warming up and cooling down.
PED 204 TH: Sports Training
· The students will be able to identify the fundamental concepts, theories and principles of human body training related to sports performance.
· The students will be able to demonstrate the skills to train different fitness components and related planning.
· The students will be able to explain different means and methods of training.
· The students will be able to prepare training schedule for various sports and games
BA-III Year
PED 301 PR: Specialization in Volleyball
· The students will be oriented with the rules and regulation of the game.
· He/ She would be able to layout and mark dimensions of the court.
· He/ She would be able to organize the game.
PED 304 PR: Specialization in Athletic
· The students will be able to know about history of athletic.
· He/ She would be able to mark the track.
· He/ She would be able to organize concerned athletic events.
PED 305 TH: Recreation
· The student will be able to understand the impacts and necessity of recreation in one’s life as a whole.
· He/ She would be able to take an active role in their personal wellness (emotional, physical and spiritual) that supports a healthy lifestyle.
PED 306 TH: Kinesiology and Biomechanics
· The students will be able to apply the principles of mechanics on the human movement and sports skills to enhance the performance and reduce the risk of injury.
· The students will be able to analyze the sports skill technique/performance qualitatively and quantitatively using the biomechanical instrumentation and measurement.
· The students will be able to assess the human body posture and prescribe corrective exercises to correct postural deviations.
PED 307 TH: Methods of Teaching in Physical Education
· The student will be able to understand the importance and types of teaching methods and techniques with its devices to teach various aspects of physical education skillfully.
· He/ She would be able to acquire information on current directions in special teaching aids.
· He/ She would be able to inculcate the interest in lesson planning and its innovations.
· He/ She would be able to gain the knowledge of classifying the types of presentation techniques and technical preparation required for physical education lessons.
PED 308 TH: Officiating and Coaching
· The students would be oriented with the rules and regulations of the game.
· He/ She would be able to layout and mark dimension of the play court.
· He/ She would be able to organize the concerned sports event.
PED 309 TH : Health Education and Nutrition
· The students will be able to identify the factors that influence health.
· The students will be able to recognize health related challenges in current time and able to apply the preventive measures.
PED 310 TH: Yoga
· The students would be able to understand the basic concept of yoga.
· He/ She would be able to apply the principles of yoga to live healthy and active life style.
· He/ She would be able to promote the awareness of health through yoga.
