Scholarships

State Schemes

1. Centrally sponsored Post Metric Scholarship Scheme for S.T. students.

Conditions to apply for the scheme
  • The student should belong to S.T. category.
  • Annual family income is less than 2.5 lakh.
  • No subsequent failure in the class result is condoned.
  • An income certificate must taken once only at the time of admission to the course and will continue for more than one year.
  • Auto-renewal after confirmation of 75% condition of attendance and also that student has been promoted to next class.
  • The scholarship amount is Rs 820/month for Hostellers and Rs 530 /month for Day scholars.

2. Centrally sponsored Post Metric Scholarship Scheme for S.C Students.

Conditions to apply for the scheme
  • The student should belong to the S.C. category.
  • Annual family income is less than 2.5 lakh.
  • An income certificate must be taken once only at the time of admission to the course and will continue for more than one year.
  • Auto-renewal is after confirmation of 75% condition of attendance and also the student has been promoted to the next class. If a scholar cannot appear in Annual Examination due to illness, may be renewed after the production of a medical certificate. The student gets promoted to the next class. If student a fails in any class and then again joins the same class as a regular student, he/she is eligible for scholarship for one additional year or actual period, whichever is lower.
  • The scholarship amount is Rs 6000/per year for Hostellers and Rs 3000/ per year for Day scholars.

3. PM Yasasvi (Dr. Ambedkar) Post Metric Scholarship scheme for OBC/EBC/EWS/DNT

Conditions to apply for the scheme
  • The student should belong to the OBC/EBC/EWS/DNT category.
  • Annual family income is less than 2.5 lakh.
  • An income certificate must be taken once only at the time of admission to the course and will continue for more than one year.

Auto-renewal is after confirmation of 75% condition of attendance and the student has been promoted to the next class. If a scholar is unable to appear in the Annual Examination due to illness, may be renewed after the production of a medical certificate. The student gets promoted to the next class. If a student fails in any class and then again joins the same class as a regular student, he/she is eligible for a scholarship for one additional year or actual period, whichever is lower. Only one failure will be considered for scholarship. No second failure is entertained.

  • The scholarship amount is Rs 8000/per year.

4. Maharishi Balmiki Chatravriti Yojna.

Conditions to apply for the scheme
  • The scholarship is only for Girls students belonging to Balmiki families.
  • The compartment candidate is also eligible if she clears the same within the session i.e. supplementary examination held in September or October of the same year.
  • The scholarship amount is Rs 9000/per year.

5. Mukhya Mantri Vidyarthi Kalyan Yojna.

Conditions to apply for the scheme
  • The scholarship is only for IRDP/BPL students.
  • No subsequent failure in the class result is condoned.
  • The Amount of the scholarship is Rs 1200/per Annum for day scholars and Rs 2400/per Annum for hostellers.

6. Kalpana Chawala Chatravriti Yojna.

Conditions to apply for the scheme
  • The scholarship is only for meritorious girls of the Himachal Pradesh Board.
  • Auto-renewal is no failure is there.
  • The scholarship amount is Rs15000/per year.

7. Indira Gandhi Utkrist Chatravriti Yojna.

Conditions to apply for the scheme
  • The scholarship is for meritorious students of post plus two courses who fall in the top 10 positions of the Himachal Pradesh board examination merit list of B.A, B.Sc, B.Com.
  • The scholarship amount is Rs10000/per year.

CENTRALLY SPONSORED POST MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR SC STUDENTS-HIMACHAL PRADESH

Under this Scheme, all SC students whose parents/guardian's annual income from all sources does not exceed Rs 2,50,000/-, are eligible for a full scholarship (i.e. Maintenance Allowance + Compulsory Fee) for all courses, provided they are pursuing their studies in Govt./Govt. Aided/ Recognized Private Recognized Institutions, as regular students.

  2. Post Graduate courses not covered under Group-I e.g. M.A. / M.Sc. / M. Ed. / M. Pharma, etc.

The printed copy of the Online Scholarship Form (after successful online submission of the form), along with all requisite documents, needs to be submitted by the student to his / her Head of the Institute, who will retain it in the institution. The Institution will forward the duly attested printed form (after successful online verification) along with the Verified Candidate List(s) (on the prescribed format) to the concerned DDHE (in case of Govt. / Private Recognized Schools within the state) & to this Directorate (in case of Universities / Private Recognized Colleges / Professional / Technical / Other Institutes / All Out of state institutes), for online verification & safekeeping. The Govt. Colleges (within the state) need to forward only the Verified Candidate List(s) (in the prescribed format) to this Directorate.

In case, any offline application form is received by the Head of the Institute, he/she is directed to return the same to the concerned student/institute, at his/her level; & to direct the sender to fill the form online & submit the printed copy of the Online Application Form, afterwards, through the same channel.

Under this Scheme, all employed OBC students whose income combined with the income of their parents/guardians and unemployed OBC students whose parents/guardian's income from all sources does not exceed Rs 1,50,000/-, per annum are eligible for scholarship (i.e. Maintenance Allowance + Compulsory Fee) for all courses, provided they are pursuing their studies in Govt. / Govt. Aided / Recognized Private Recognized Institutions, as regular students.

Commercial Pilot Licence courses from GOI Institutes (Including helicopter Pilot and Multi-Engine rating) (Maximum 20 slots per annum) – In addition to maintenance allowance, an amount of Rs. 5,000/- per flying hour for a maximum of 200 hours will be paid by the State Govt./UT with the approval of the Government of India.
  3. Post Graduate Diploma courses in various branches of management & medicine.

  9. Fee Structure approved by the University / Board / State Govt. / Centre Govt. Self-approved Fee Structure by the Head of the Institution is not valid, in the case of Private Recognized Institutions.

KALPANA CHAWLA CHATRAVRITI YOJANA-HIMACHAL PRADESH

Eligibility

An applicant must:

  • Be a girl student of Himachal Pradesh
  • Have completed Class 12 in any stream (Science, Arts, Commerce) from the HP Board of School Education
  • Have taken admission as a regular student in post 10+2 courses (academic, professional, technical) at a government-aided or recognised private institution

Benefits

The selected girl scholars will receive INR 15,000 per annum.
