Govt. College Kullu is the emblem of Human and Academic Excellence, and IQAC plays a
critical role in consistently sustaining and enriching the College's quality culture. The College
IQAC develops the College's policies to ensure the sustainability and enhancement of higher
education quality as specified by NAAC. It systematizes its work by forming various
committees to ensure the effective implementation of quality-related initiatives. IQAC is the
academic cornerstone and the link between the teachers and the College administration. It has
played an important role in the execution and improvement of teaching, learning, and
evaluation quality.
Govt. College Kullu’s IQAC has facilitated a consistent and continuous system of innovation
in all aspects, serving as an efficient channel for improving the efficiency of institutional
processes.
The IQAC's primary responsibility is to create a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic
improvement in institutional overall performance. During the post-accreditation period, it will
channel all of the institution's efforts and measures toward promoting its holistic academic
excellence.
The primary goal of IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic action
to improve the institution's academic and administrative performance.

quality culture and institutionalizing best practices.
Strategies
IQAC will develop mechanisms and procedures to ensure
- The timely, efficient, and progressive completion of academic, administrative, and
financial tasks.
- Academic and research programs' relevance and quality.
- Access to and affordability of academic programs for all segments of society.
- Optimisation and integration of modern teaching and learning methods.
- The trustworthiness of evaluation procedures.
- Ensuring the sufficiency, upkeep, and operation of the support structure and services.
- Research collaboration and networking with other institutions in India and around the
world.
- The IQAC is expected to perform the following functions :
- Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic
and administrative activities of the institution.
- Assisting in the development of a learner-centred environment conducive to quality
education and faculty maturation to adopt the necessary knowledge and technology for
participatory teaching and learning.
- Arrange for feedback on quality-related institutional processes from students, parents,
and other stakeholders.
- Information dissemination on various quality parameters of higher education.
- Inter- and intra-institutional workshops, seminars on quality-related topics, and the
promotion of quality circles.
- Documentation of various programs/activities that contribute to quality improvement.
- Serving as the Institution's nodal agency for coordinating quality-related activities, such
as the adoption and dissemination of best practices
Mission
- To provide a student-centred learning environment to improve the quality of teaching,
learning, and evaluation processes and optimal utilization of infrastructural facilities
and ICT resources.
- Regular monitoring of plans through mid-term reviews and periodic meetings to
promote a conducive learning environment in the college.
- Planning and implementation of quality-related initiatives based on input from various
college committees and societies.
- To organize inter and intra-institutional workshops/seminars/conferences/training
sessions to improve faculty professional skills and teaching capabilities.
- Conducting academic audits with faculty members to ensure quality assurance.
- Improving educational versatility by promoting entrepreneurship through skill-based/
value-added courses and community outreach programs.
- The College's vision and mission, emphasise the spirit of innovation to support
best practices.
- Constructive interventions on quality-related institutional processes through regular
communication with stakeholders.
- Maintaining an effective feedback system allows for regular evaluation of the
decentralized system's operation.
- Creating an institutional database and disseminating information.
- To prepare and submit AQARs and self-study reports by NAAC guidelines.
- Enabling a consistent and continuous system of innovation in all aspects of the
institution's operation.
